being a big fan of sherlock holmes, the movie would either be really good, or really bad. there's no middle ground.

and my verdict is -

it was really good.

although robert downey jr. changed most of what sherlock's supposed to be, until the end of the movie, where he donned sherlock's customary red robe and bored look.

and i still think anybody who enjoys reading Detective Conan should try reading Sherlock Holmes.
